Reports
Through local assessments and strategic improvement plans, we work with community members and leaders to identify health priorities and address them through data-driven planning and public engagement. Check out one of our reports below for more information.
2025 Access to Care Report
The Access to Care Assessment was developed in coordination with the Ozarks Health Commission’s 2025 Regional Community Health Needs Assessment. Findings from the Regional Community Health Needs Assessment highlighted two key health priority focus areas: Behavioral Health (including mental health and substance use) and Chronic Health Conditions (including but not limited to heart health and diabetes). For the purposes of this assessment, access to primary and behavioral health care was examined to identify upstream health factors that contribute to mental health and chronic health conditions.
2025 Regional Community Health Needs Assessment: Ozarks Health Commission
The Ozarks Health Commission (OHC) region includes 33 counties across three states. These counties make up seven different communities, who each develop reports based on their community-level data. Hospital systems, local public health agencies (LPHAs) and other health care partners in the greater Ozarks work together to release comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) every three years. Information about data collection can be found in the OHC Regional Report.
This report aims to be a valuable resource for health care partners, civic organizations and people who live, work and seek health care in the region. Our Branson community report includes information about Stone and Taney counties collectively.
2022 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP)
The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) and community partners worked together in 2022 to complete the Community Health Assessment (CHA) process. One of the goals of this project was to identify areas where the community’s health needed to improve. Through ranked-choice voting, the community chose three areas for health improvement. They are Obtainable Housing, Substance Use, and Mental Health. These overarching priorities helped guide TCHD and community partners in setting objectives and activities to improve health in these areas. The priorities, objectives, goals, activities, timeframes, and participating community organizations are outlined in this report.
