WIC Services

The WIC program is a special supplemental nutrition program that serves pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday.  

The Missouri WIC program provides supplemental food, health care referrals, nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion and support to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five. Fathers, grandparents, guardians and foster parents may also apply for benefits for the children living in their household.

WIC Provides Services Like:

  • Nutrition education and counseling 
  • Free, supplemental food purchased using an eWIC card 
  • Health screenings and risk assessments 
  • Breastfeeding education and support 
  • Referrals to other health and social services 

Healthcare Providers

WIC offers a variety of standard Similac formulas, as well as specialty formulas for infants with specific medical needs. A Medical Documentation Form (also known as a Special Formula Form or WIC-27) is required for specialty formulas.
