Founded by the vote of the people on September 1, 1960, the Taney County Health Department has served residents and visitors of Taney County since it first opened its doors on February 1, 1961. Governed by an elected five member board, TCHD proudly serves Taney County through a variety of health, wellness, and safety programs.

Lisa Marshall has been with the Taney County Health Department since 2015 serving in a variety of roles. She became the Director of Public Health in Spring of 2019. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and a Masters of Health Promotion and Wellness Management from Missouri State. Lisa is a native of the Ozarks and and has spent her entire professional career serving Taney County through her tenure at Skaggs Regional Medical Center/CoxHealth and the Taney County Health Department. She is passionate about serving Taney County and supporting opportunities for the community to live healthy lifestyles. Lisa and her family reside in Taney County where they can often be found doing something outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the Ozarks.
